Since 1988, the Voters of Hernando County have not had a choice or a voice in who serves as their Clerk of Courts. It is time the people had the opportunity to choose their clerk, and to hold the Clerk accountable for those who work in the Clerk's office, as well as the many duties that the Clerk performs for the County. These duties include the custody and control of every recorded document in the public records, auditing the county finances, maintain and record all court documents and pleadings. The Clerk must be a person of integrity, who leads with vision and is not bound to cronyism and special interests. A person who will supervise those they employ, not micro-manage. A person with vision and leadership qualities that will inspire and motivate. It is time for a serious change in Hernando County!
